onigiri loves you!
Hello all! I know it's been a long time.

I am living in Japan now, and have been for almost two months. It's been great! I'm glad I'm finally getting to do what I want with my life!

I'm sorry to all the LJ friends that I just sort of abandoned. I really haven't felt like myself for the last couple years... and I think I'm finally started to get back into the swing of being me.

AAANNNNDDDD I've been doing more bento boxes since I've been here- you can see them all here--- Click Me!!!

*waves*

I can't give you hype unless I sign up ;_; I guess I will, eventually...

Btw, I need you to tell me how you usually make curry! My dad bought me mix because we have tons of rice and nothing to eat it with, but the instructions on the box are completely useless :P

It's easy, yo!

Get whatever veggies you want to add (usually potato and carrot)- you can be lazy and use canned pre-chopped of each... but it tastes better if you use fresh. About 1 big potato... and you can use a bag of baby carrots...

chop em.

boil em.

When they are cooked (potatoes will be opaque and carrots will be soft-ish... take a bite to be sure if you want). There should be about three cups of water in the pot- if you used more than that to boil... ladle some out. If you did'n't use enough... add some.

THEN- if you got a pack like I normally do- inside the box you will have two sections. Add one. ONE -per three cups of water. This will make enough for you and another person with possible leftovers. It usually makes AT LEAST three servings for me. (I usually chop the curry block up into really small pieces... it makes it dissolve faster) Then you just have to mix it until it is all dissolved and the curry will become thick.

eat it.

love it.

(funny that you ask too... because I'm eating some I just made right now ^_^ )

Thank you! Yeah, what I mean about the instructions on the box - all it said is to "add some water." SOME water? How much is some? D: *brain explodes*

But thank youuuuuuu, it also occurred to me that I could go more than a year never experiencing delicious curry, and the thought was just too tragic to bear :P

Oh yeah... peel your potato! Otherwise the skin will just boil off and you will have random potato skin chunk.
